Berlin Wardrobe ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช

Well I’ve had a hectic start to 2018 and a very joyful one with amazing news on the family front and work life, talk about “balance”!

So I am saying goodbye to a fantastic January, and I will welcome February with a city break to Berlin.

Berlin is known to be a trend driven city, so for those who think I’ll just pack a bag and go….I salute you! I just cannot do that so…yes I have pretty much bought a new top/outfit for each day, including shoes! I mean it had to be done.

I’m going to holla at Asos and Topshop for saving my bacon with quick deliveries on my spontaneous shopping sprees! I love you guys.

So as I was saying…..The Wardrobe!

I’m really feeling the monochrome look at the moment. I wear black for work and just love it ,so introducing colour for me has to wait until spring, and because Berlin isn’t a summer holiday monochrome was the way forward for me.

Topshop jeans….now for you shorties out there with a tiny 28″ leg (like me) Topshop is one of the only places I will shop for jeans, because they accommodate small petite leg sizes for us little ones (short girl issues)!

I usually buy the Joni range as I like the high waisted jean, but what is a big bare of mine is I like a belt loop and these don’t have them. I have opted for the Jamie range this time now they’re not quite as “skinny” fit on the bottom of the leg as Joni but they are high waisted and do have a belt loop, so I will see how I get on with these….small change, but out of the “Joni” comfort zone.

Travel outfit

Black Jeans and a thin white sweatshirt. Can’t decide wether to wear my Adidas Gazelles yet or my suede & studded Topshop shoes.

Daytime staples

It’s going to be chilly so the pretty dresses with no tights will not be venturing out of the wardrobe unfortunately. So it will be casual tops and maybe a few added staples! I’m trying to travel light.

I’m a little obsessed with this monochrome cross over jumper. Topshop staple! Could dress this up or down. I’m going to opt for jeans and trainers, but you could team it up with a skirt, tights and patent boots for an evening look. Less is more with this one as it’s quite a bold stripe.

Again simple here… a white waffle 3/4 sleeve top from Topshop with the Jamie jeans a black leather belt with a gold buckle, and suede studded shoes from Topshop. Or swap the shoes for trainers and a “big coat” as we call it up north and your ready for a day seeing the sights. (See below)

Evening

Black jeans with a Topshop crop tie knot front, onto the florals and adding a splash of colour to the pallet.

Or this little number black floral poppy print from ASOS. I will be wearing this with tights and patent boots to keep me warm but still on trend.

Travel bag

  • Mini toiletries
  • Trainers are a must I wore my Adidas Gazelles more than my suede boots or ankle boots
  • Comfy socks (no blisters wanted Thankyou)
  • A few splashes of colour on the clothes or accessories (I chose it within clothes)
  • Staple jewellery that can be worn with multiple items
  • Two coats, a denim and a big coat
  • Layers (wear things you can layer up that are thin)
  • Belt with a good buckle for the jeans

Keep it simple, on city breaks you want to pack as light as possible, whilst keeping it cool.
